We Can Help

Identity Issues
Dr. Bates is trained to meet the needs of those struggling with identity related issues, including learning to affirm self, learning to affirm others, and integrating one’s identity into various aspects of their lives and relationships. Developing a sense of self – an identity – is a key component of the maturation process for every individual. Unresolved identity issues can lead to depression, hopelessness, addiction, and more, so they must be addressed efficiently.

Depression & Grief
Grieving a loss is normal. But when grief takes over your life and you begin to feel hopeless, helpless, and worthless, then it’s time to talk with a medical professional to evaluate the difference between normal grief and depression.

Anxiety & Stress
Stress and anxiety are common experiences for most people. In fact, 70% of adults in the U.S. say they feel stress or anxiety daily. But there are smart and healthy ways to cope and relieve these feelings. Working with a counselor can get you on the right track.
